The time has come! For the past two years we (Mahoyo) and our friends at Flip-FlopInteractive have worked long and hard to complete our documentary The Mahoyo Project. The Mahoyo Project for all of you that dont know, is a documentary that follows us (Mahoyo) as we embark on a cultural exchange – collaborating with local artists in the realms of the growing urban music, fashion and dance scene in Johannesburg. This is juxtaposed against Stockholm’s creative scene and characters.
With this story we aim to break stereotypes of gender, race and location.
We are so happy and sooooooo proud to announce that The Mahoyo Project is gonna be featured at this years Tempo Documentary Filmfestival. But thats not all, we are also nominated in New Doc!
To everyone that has contributed with their time, stories, dance and overall fierceness THANK YOU SO MUCH, without your love and support this would not have been possible. We cant wait to spread message of The Mahoyo Project around the globe.
