After spending five weeks in the U.S our little trip was sadly coming to an end. The last day in NYC we chilled in Harlem all day just strolling around and shopping the last thing. There so many amazing shopping spots there so it was sad for us to leave but we had to go down town and to China Town for some more shopping and to enjoy a last meal at our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. After our little shopping spree we went home packing and then to meet up our boys in Williamsburg to hang and to say goodbye.

The African American parade in Harlem was amazing, it was just too bad we didn’t make it in time so see the parade from the beginning.

We had some big plans for the night, first we would go and see poetry slam at The Nuyorican cafe, a cultural icon in NYC that presents ground breaking works of literature, music, theatre, performance art, poetry slam, hip hop, visual art and champions established as well as rising artists from every background imaginable.

And then we would meet up with our peeps at Webster hall where Chromeo and Chris Baio from Vampire Weekend had dj-sets.
This particular day we woke up pretty early and went down to Union Square to do some shopping at Trader Joe’, the best wine store in NYC, and then back home to get ready for a sick night out.

sWe started off our day at White Castle, the fast food chain that is known from the movie “Harold & Kumar go to White Castle”. This is not a place we would recommend, it’s worse than McDonald’s.
