NYC: Malcolm X Birthday in Harlem

Visiting Harlem is exciting, whether you go there to shop or just walk around, there is always something going on. This particular day was no exception, as we ended up in the middle of the celebration of the late civil right movement leader and hero, brother Malcolm X! A lot of people were gathered to talk about Malcolm X, to dance and sing. It was such a beautiful thing to witness. We also got a chance to talk to people from the Black Panthers Party ( that we were scared of at first, they look so dangerous) and they were so cool. It was a magical moment.
