“Way Out West, a festival in Sweden’s second city, Gothenburg, is already known as one of the best music festivals in Europe despite being in only its fifth year.
For three days Gothenburg is home to the crème de la crème of national and international music. The line up for 2011 so far includes Prince, Kanye West, Pulp, Robyn, Fleet Foxes, Thåström, Explosions In The Sky, Janelle Monáe, Wiz Khalifa, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, The Jayhawks, Twin Shadow, The Avett Brothers and Warpaint.

Way Out West’s unique city based format taps into Gothenburg’s thriving music scenes, with performances at venues all over the city; rock clubs, nightclubs, churches, theaters and cultural centers are all used to showcase breaking and more established acts as part of the festivals club concept, Stay Out West.

The club nights start on Thursday the 11th August and end on the Saturday evening (or Sunday morning if you can last that long) and are at a variety of different venues around central Gothenburg. Bands playing the club nights will not be appearing on the stages at the festival site.”

With that said we, MAHOYO, will be resident Dj’s at Park Lane; one of the clubs at STAY OUT WEST all three nights! Yes we about to go H.A.M. This is going to be so damn sick!

MAHOYO X KONSTFUCK In Gothenburg!

We left Stockholm for a weekend to have a fashion show and a gig at the premiere of the club KONSTFUCK. Together with our dear friends Miranda and Niklas we drove off on a snow-covered road to make some noise in Gothenburg. It took us 7 painful hours to get there, but it was totally worth it! We had such a good time and our hosts sure took really good care of us. Big thanks to Anna and Iki for makin KONSTFUCK happen.
