Beginning as a surfboard company, Insight was founded in 1989 by ex-professional surfer Andrew Down and then business partner Greg Webber.Having such success with the surfboards, Down developed an Insight clothing line along with local artist, and later business partner George Gorrow. Insight’s personality encompasses a lifestyle that surrounds everything surf, skate, art, music, fashion and popular culture. The designers (tsubi’s George Gorrow and Sample and Beauty of Nature’s Natalie Wood) don’t wish to be pigeon holed into a particular ‘genre’ that limits the ethos behind the brand.They just want to design clothing that they themselves would want to wear.
