Now it’s here; the Johannesburg based brand Babatunde is up on Mahoyo webshop. You can find bow ties from Babatunde’s first collection and caps from the latest collection ‘Capulana Fever’. Make sure you get your hands on one of these fresh items, it’s very limited.

The Capulana Fever Cap Collection
“The Capulana range is inspired by Mozambique and it’s vibrant fabric. Known as “Capulana” to the local people, the colorful prints are typically sold as 2m x 1m pieces or “sarongs”. Mozambican uses the fabrics as wrap around skirts or for carrying babies on their back. Head-wraps are also a common use for the Mozambican woman. Men in Mozambique have shirts and trousers made with the capulana.

This collection is a tribute to Mozambique and it’s beatutiful people. All fabrics for this range was sourced from Mozambique.”

Two places you have to visit when in Cape Town: Bo-Kaap and Gugulethu.

Cape Town pt.1
As you already know, we were in South Africa for two weeks. The trip started off in Cape Town which is a really beautiful city. The sceneries were breathtaking so we had to do some touristy things. But one “touristy” thing you have to do when in Cape Town is to visit Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of the 27 years he served behind bars together with other political prisoners.

Cape Town: Cinder & Skylark
